 Bespoke Roman Blinds

All of our Roman Blinds are handmade to the highest quality. With our bespoke tailoring service, you can choose from a variety of fabrics and top-quality linings, including blackout options or a cosy layer of interlining.

Roman Blinds can be used on their own or with curtains, and we supply all our roman blinds on metal tracks that comply with the latest safety standards.

How to measure

Always use a metal tape measure when taking the measurements for your new blinds (cloth ones can give inaccurate measurements).

Once you have decided to use Roman Blinds as your window dressing, the next step is to decide whether you want them installed inside or outside of the recess of your windows. Be sure to check if there are any obstructions: If your blind is obstructed by catches or handles, it can snag on them potentially causing damage to the blind itself or to the operating cords on back of the blind.

Please send through your measurements in centimetres, rounded to the nearest millimetre.

To fit inside the window recess

Step 1 - Width:
To measure the window using a metal tape measure take three measurements across the inside of the window recess size; at the top, the middle and bottom of the window as shown in the diagram Guide A. Record the narrowest measurement.

Step 2 - Height (Drop):
Next measure the height (drop) of the inside window frame, take down three measurements: one each side and another in the middle (diagram Guide A). Record the smallest measurement.

To fit outside the window recess

Step 1 - Width:
When fitting a roman Blind outside a window recess, we recommended that the blind extends at least 7-12 cm to each side of the window.

Step 2 - Height (Drop):
Decide where you want the bottom of your blind to end and measure the length of the window from the top of the fitting to this point. We recommend a recess of at least 7 - 12 cm (when possible) at the top and bottom to minimise as much internal light as possible.
